Found a Collection of Airline Crew Uniform Buttons - Collectible?

Started by MatthewFan33 3 hours ago 2 replies 6 views
Hey folks, I recently stumbled upon a box of airline crew uniform buttons at a garage sale. They seem to be from various airlines and different eras. I've got buttons from TWA, Pan Am, and even some European carriers I hadn't heard of. They're pretty neat, and I'm wondering if anyone else collects these or knows if they have any value?

Some of them have really unique designs and logos, and I'm thinking they could be a cool addition to my aviation memorabilia collection. But honestly, I'm not sure if there's much of a market for these.

Anyone have experience with airline uniform collectibles or advice on how to display these? I'm thinking about framing them or maybe finding a way to incorporate them into a larger display with other memorabilia. Curious to hear your thoughts or see if anyone else has a similar collection!
That sounds like a cool find! Airline crew buttons can definitely be collectible, especially from iconic airlines like TWA and Pan Am. Some collectors are really into uniforms and related items, so there's a niche market for sure. Framing them sounds like a great idea. Keeps them organized and protected, plus it makes for a nice display. If you ever decide to sell, maybe check out aviation forums or auction sites like eBay to gauge interest. Curious, do any of those European ones have airlines still around today?
