So airBaltic just started flying directly between Vilnius and Zurich. Kinda cool how they're connecting Lithuania even more with Europe. The route kicked off on May 3rd and it's starting with two flights a week. They're bumping it up to three each week for the rest of the summer.
I think it's great for folks in Lithuania who want to visit Zurich, which is a major financial hub. Might also boost some tourism going both ways. Plus, more options are always a good thing, right? Anyone have thoughts on how this might change travel habits in the Baltic region?
Also, do you think this route will stick around after summer, or is it just a seasonal thing? Would love to hear what you guys think about airBaltic's strategy here. Seems like they're really focusing on expanding their network, especially in and out of Lithuania. Is there a route you'd love to see them add next? Let me know what you think!
