So I just read about this big change coming to NBA team travel next season. The league's ditching its old Boeing 757 charters and bringing in up to 14 shiny new Airbus A321neos operated by Delta. These planes sound pretty fancy, with lie-flat beds and interiors you'd expect in a private jet, not a team charter. Seems like a sweet deal for the teams, right?
But here's the kicker: out of all 30 teams, 2 actually said 'no thanks' to the new fleet. I'm scratching my head a bit here. I mean, why would anyone pass up a chance to fly in these upgraded planes? Maybe they've got some special arrangement or just love their current setup? Or maybe there's something about the A321neos they don't like?
And I wonder how Delta feels about operating these aircraft. It's a bit different from their usual commercial flights. Anyone think this could change how other sports or leagues handle their travel?
What do you guys think about this move? And any guesses on which teams might be holding out? Curious to hear your thoughts!
