Does anyone collect airline-branded napkins?

Started by JFKATRNerd 11 hours ago 4 replies 21 views
So I was cleaning out my attic and came across a box of airline-branded napkins I somehow forgot about. I think I started grabbing them during flights back in the day just for fun. I've got some from Delta, United, and even a few from defunct airlines like Pan Am and Eastern. They've all got these cool logos and designs on them.

I'm curious if this is a thing people actually collect or if I'm just a weirdo who kept way too many napkins. I mean, they're kind of neat to look at and bring back memories of past trips.

Is anyone else into this? How do you store or display them? I'm thinking about putting some in a frame or something. Or maybe there's a better way to keep them from getting messed up?

Would love to hear if anyone else has a collection like this!
I've never collected airline napkins specifically, but I've grabbed a few here and there when they had cool designs. You're definitely not alone! People collect all kinds of airline stuff, from safety cards to sick bags. Framing some of the unique ones could look pretty cool, especially the ones from defunct airlines. Just make sure they're in a dry place to avoid any moisture damage. Have you thought about checking out any collector groups online? They might have some tips on preservation or display.
I've got a buddy who's really into collecting airline stuff, and he's got a stash of napkins too. He keeps them in those plastic sleeves like you would for trading cards. Seems to work well for him. A frame sounds like a cool idea if you've got some you want to show off. It's wild to think about how something as small as a napkin can be a snapshot of airline history, especially with those old logos. Do you have any favorites from your collection?
You're not alone! I don't collect napkins, but I've got a friend who does. He frames his favorites and rotates them every few months. It's kind of like a mini gallery on his wall. Keeps them in good shape and it's a fun conversation starter. You could also try a scrapbook if you're looking to keep them more low-key. Just make sure to use acid-free paper to preserve them longer.
