So, it turns out Boeing has already built over 20 of the 777X planes, but they can't fly passengers yet because they aren't certified. I guess it's not entirely surprising given the ambitious nature of the 777X program. They're trying to combine the best of the old 777 with new tech, which sounds awesome if they can pull it off. But with a seven-year delay, it's kinda crazy to think how long this is taking.
I wonder how Boeing is handling these planes just sitting around. Do they just park them somewhere until they can get certified? And with all the supply chain issues, it's gotta be a pretty big headache for them. I mean, how much longer can they afford to wait before this really starts hurting them financially?
Anyone have any thoughts on when we might actually see these flying? Or if there are any other planes that faced similar delays but ended up being successful in the long run? It's kind of a wild situation!
