Aberdair Shifts Focus: Out of Ghana, More Choppers in Kenya!

Started by TakeoffMEX78 1 weeks ago 1 replies 60 views
Hey everyone! So, I was reading about Aberdair's latest move. They're pulling out their fixed-wing operations from Ghana, but it looks like they're beefing up their rotorcraft presence in Kenya. Honestly, I'm not too surprised about this shift. The helicopter market in Kenya seems to be booming, especially with all the safari tourism and oil and gas exploration happening there.

I guess Aberdair sees more opportunities with choppers in East Africa than sticking with fixed-wing in Ghana. Makes sense, right? But I wonder how this will affect their overall business. Are they going to phase out fixed-wing stuff entirely, or is this just a strategic reshuffle?

Also, anyone know how this might impact the aviation scene in Ghana? Will other operators step in to fill the gap Aberdair's leaving? Would love to hear your thoughts.
