Best Lens for Spotting at LAX: 100-400mm vs 150-600mm?

Hey fellow spotters! I've been planning a trip to Los Angeles International Airport (LAX) for some serious plane spotting. As we know, LAX offers some fantastic opportunities for aviation photography, especially with the iconic In-N-Out Burger location near Runway 24R. I currently own a Canon EOS R6 and am deciding between the Canon RF 100-400mm f/5.6-8 and the Sigma 150-600mm f/5-6.3 DG OS HSM for this trip.

Given the busy nature of LAX and the variety of aircraft, including everything from regional jets to the mighty A380s, I'm curious about your experiences with these lenses. How do they perform in terms of image quality and autofocus speed, especially when capturing fast-moving aircraft? Also, considering the distance from the spotting locations to the runways, which focal range would you recommend for getting those crisp, close-up shots?

Additionally, any tips on camera settings or best times for spotting at LAX would be greatly appreciated. Thanks in advance for your insights!
