Best Lenses for Capturing Aircraft at LAX: 100-400mm vs. 150-600mm

Hi everyone, I've been spotting at LAX (Los Angeles International Airport - LAX) for a while now, and I'm considering upgrading my lens to capture more detailed shots of aircraft on approach and takeoff. Currently, I'm using a Canon EOS R5 with a 70-200mm lens, but I'm finding it a bit limiting when trying to capture planes further away. I'm debating between a Canon 100-400mm f/4.5-5.6L IS II USM and a Sigma 150-600mm f/5-6.3 DG OS HSM Contemporary lens. Has anyone here used either of these lenses for spotting at LAX? I'm particularly interested in how they perform in terms of sharpness, autofocus speed, and handling heat haze, especially during those sunny Los Angeles days. Also, if anyone has tips on the best spotting locations around LAX for these focal lengths, that would be super helpful. Looking forward to hearing your experiences and recommendations!
