So I just read that Air France is going for the A350-1000s now. They're adding 50 of these to their fleet. That's a big leap from the A350-900s they've been flying. Wondering how this will shake things up for them.
From what I know, the A350-1000s have more capacity and longer range, right? I guess it makes sense for them to use these on longer routes. Does this mean they'll be retiring some of their older aircraft sooner? Maybe those A380s?
Also, I think it's interesting they're doubling down on Airbus since they've got a mixed fleet. Anyone else curious about how this affects their route planning? Like, which destinations might benefit from the A350-1000's capabilities?
Would love to hear what you all think about this move. Is this the right choice for Air France?
