UZGA's 44-Seater Switches Tracks to Military Use

So, I just read that UZGA in Russia is shifting their development of a 44-seater aircraft over to military use. I guess this means we won't be seeing this model in commercial airports anytime soon. Honestly, it's kinda interesting since they were originally planning it for civil aviation. I wonder what prompted the change?

From what I understand, UZGA has been working on this project for a bit, and it seemed like a decent option for regional routes. It makes me think about how these decisions get made. Is it about funding, market demand, or maybe something else?

I'm curious how this will affect regional aviation in Russia, especially if they were counting on this model to boost connectivity. Anyone have thoughts on how military adaptation might change the aircraft's design or capabilities? And also, what does this mean for other regional aircraft developers? Do they see this as an opportunity to fill a gap, or are they facing similar challenges?

Would love to hear what you guys think about this whole switch. It's not every day you see a project pivot like this.
