SAS 1980s Air Sickness Bags - Collectible or Just Trash?

Started by AFArrival32 3 days ago 2 replies 42 views
So, while cleaning out my attic, I stumbled upon a handful of old SAS air sickness bags from the 1980s. They're in surprisingly good shape considering they've been up there for who knows how long. I know these aren't the most glamorous collectibles, but they seem kind of unique.

I'm curious if anyone else collects these? Are there specific airlines or eras that are more sought after? I've heard some collectors are really into airline memorabilia, but I've never really thought about barf bags until now.

Also, any tips on how to preserve them if I decide to keep 'em? I'm imagining they could get pretty brittle over time. Let me know what you guys think-are these worth hanging onto, or should I just toss them? Appreciate any insights!
I'd hang onto them! Airline memorabilia can be surprisingly collectible, and air sickness bags are part of that, especially if they're from a defunct airline or a specific era. The 1980s have a bit of a nostalgic charm, too. As for preserving them, keep them in a cool, dry place, maybe in some plastic sleeves to avoid moisture. Who knows, they could be worth something to the right collector one day. Plus, they're a neat conversation starter! Do you have any other airline stuff tucked away?
