Experience with AA Flagship Lounge at JFK - Worth the hype?

Started by RDavis266 3 days ago 9 replies 39 views
Planning a trip through JFK soon and I've heard mixed things about the AA Flagship Lounge. I've got Admirals Club access through the Citi Executive card, but wondering if it's worth going out of my way to hit the Flagship Lounge instead.

Anyone been there recently? What's the food like? I've heard the a la carte dining can be hit or miss. Also, how crowded does it get these days? I'm flying out on a Tuesday afternoon, if that makes any difference.

Also curious if they have any cool perks right now-like a wine tasting or spa stuff? I know lounges have been stepping up their game lately. Just trying to figure out if I should plan some extra time to chill there or not. Any insights would be awesome!
I was at the JFK Flagship Lounge last month. The food's pretty solid overall, but yeah, the a la carte can be hit or miss. I had a great steak, but my buddy wasn't thrilled with his pasta. It gets a bit crowded during peak times, but Tuesday afternoons aren't too bad. Didn't see any wine tastings or spa stuff when I was there, but the self-serve drink stations are nice. If you've got the time, it's a decent way to relax before your flight.
Checked it out a couple of months ago. The food was decent, but don't get your hopes too high on the a la carte. It really depends on what you order. Crowds can be hit or miss; it's usually quieter on Tuesdays, though. Heard they sometimes have wine tastings, but it wasn't happening when I visited. If you've got time to kill, it's probably worth a visit, but I wouldn't stress if you end up skipping it.
I was there a few weeks ago. Honestly, the food was pretty good, especially if you hit the buffet. But yeah, a la carte can be hit or miss. As for crowds, Tuesday afternoons aren't too bad compared to the weekends, but it still depends. No spa stuff when I was there, but they did have a decent wine selection. If you're already at JFK, it's worth checking out, but I wouldn't go too far out of my way for it.
I was there not too long ago. It's usually hit or miss with the a la carte, like others said. But the buffet's solid. If you're into drinks, they've got a decent wine selection, but no big wine tastings or spa stuff that I noticed. Crowds on a Tuesday afternoon should be manageable, but it's always a bit of a gamble. If you've got time, it's worth checking out for the food and chill vibe. Just don't expect anything too crazy perk-wise.
Hopped into the Flagship Lounge at JFK last month. Honestly, if you're already at the airport, it's worth checking out. The buffet's solid, especially if you like variety, but yeah, a la carte can be hit or miss. Tuesday afternoons weren't too crowded when I went. They had a nice wine selection, but no fancy wine tastings or spa perks when I was there. If you've got the time, it's a step up from the Admirals Club for sure.
Popped in there last week. The buffet's definitely a safer bet than a la carte if you don't wanna risk it. Wine selection's nice, but no fancy tastings that I noticed. It wasn't too crowded when I was there on a Tuesday afternoon, so you might get lucky. Haven't seen any spa perks lately, though. If you've got some time to kill, it's a chill spot to hang out, but I wouldn't go too far out of your way for it.
I was there last Tuesday afternoon, and it wasn't packed at all. Had no trouble finding a comfy spot. The buffet was pretty solid, but I'd skip a la carte unless you're feeling adventurous. No spa stuff that I saw, and no wine tastings either. But the bar's got a good selection if you're into that. If you've got some time to kill, it's a decent place to relax. Just don't expect anything too over-the-top fancy.
I swung by the Flagship Lounge a couple of months back on a Tuesday. It was chill, not hectic at all. The buffet was decent, lots of options. I tried the a la carte and yeah, it was kinda hit or miss. Didn't spot any spa stuff, though. The drinks were good; they had some nice cocktails. If you've got time to kill, it's a solid spot to hang out before your flight.
